Nocino is made with green walnuts picked from the trees at the beginning of summer (following the tradition, on the 24th of June which is the day of St. John The Baptist). In that period the fruits are soft and it is easy to cut their shell. Nocino is a typical liqueur of European Countries and is made from the infusion of green walnuts in alcohol.
It is a dark green brown color, that stains your lips. To preserve its aroma, it must be kept in a dark hermetic glass bottle. It is also good for digestion problems. Alcohol content between 30 and 40 percent.
